Saving Money on Cosmetics

With the economy the way it is everyone is tightening their budget. One business that earns over forty billion dollars a year is the beauty industry. I was watching ABC news last night and they had some great tips for saving money on cosmetics that I wanted to share with you.

The first tip was if you are looking for a good mineral powder instead of spending $30 on bare minerals you can get the same quality of product in Neutrogena mineral powder and save at least $20 by shopping at Target or other drug stores. They had a professional who came in and tested both products and also the ingredients. It was surprising to find out the ingredients are nearly identical!

Another tip was about name brand shampoos. If you choose to purchase your hair products at salons it can cost more then twice as much as purchasing similar products at leading drug stores. The shampoo that was recommended was Tresemme. I have tried Tresemme before but after hearing the quality of the product and the los cost I might be trying it next time I run out of shampoo!
